You never know when you read someone’s blog how it will you. The past few years of my life have been the most difficult I’ve ever experienced. My desperation drove me to the brink of death. My therapist has been telling me God has led me to this loin and this place to heal, to heal my heart and build a new life. Below is a repost of my old Pastor’s Blog. His words are wise and so true.

My life on an unexpected path 
I’m glad you shared this. It’s so true that His ways and thoughts are higher than our ways and thoughts. And I am so glad for that!

The faith life is such a journey. We are sometimes so dismayed by the direction. Dismayed as much by the PEAKS as by the VALLEYS. Where have you come from on your journey? Have you ever taken the time to look back and reassess your travels?
I’m in the habit of looking for milestones. Be it a good resting place or a bad, I find something to remind me of that portion of my journey so I can get it out, handle it, and remember the lessons I learned there. Some not pleasant. But I keep them in a little tin box labeled Milestones. Would it help you to have some keepsakes for you to remember that life is a journey and doesn’t always lead us where we want to go? Your pastor’s words were wonderful. Why not find a little something that reminds you of his sermon and begin your own little box?
For you: Isaiah 41:10 — Fear not, for I am with you; be not afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will comfort you; I will uphold you with my strong right arm.”

Thank you for the kind words. I was in a destructive marriage that I clung to even though the Lord had given me clear signs and opportunities to leave. I just couldn’t believe He would want t me to divorce but ultimately my ex who had violated every promise made in marriage vows left me. It’s been 3 years and I am just now finding my way.

It’s so hard, isn’t it? Everyone heals at their own pace. It sounds like you are in a much better place now. Do you have a support system around you? It’s so important.

God has changed my plans so many times, but I have always said, “I’m where I’m suppose to be.” Sometimes he has a really great sense of humor. But you don’t think so at that time, or any other time until you actually get his message.
