When you were five, what did you want to be when you grew up?
When I was five, I wanted to be president of the country. However, my mother told me girls couldn’t be president of this country. Imagine 61 years later with multiple countries already having female leadership at the top post, the U.S. still holds onto antiquated ideas. How ironic the U.S. sees itself as an innovator and world leader when in reality they’ve never left the 19th century.
