I read this article about an obituary making the rounds on Facebook. I am not on Facebook because like depression it lies. While Facebook portrays an unrealistic life standard which we want to obtain, depression lies because it blinds us to the truth. Depression tells me I am not lovable. I am not worthy. It says no one wants me. It says I have nothing to offer. Intellectually I understand, emotionally I am still blind. Read the link and educate yourself. The life you save may be someone you love.

I have a temporary job given to me by the kindest and most compassionate man I’ve ever met. He doesn’t need me but he has hired me for the next two months, until my lease is up. Thank you for checking on me. I have to decide whether to store my things and move in with my mother in Nevada or move an hour north to live near my daughter and pray I can build a real estate business. I keep praying for peace but none has come yet.

Great. I know that there are programs out there, you just need to find them. Dede, I believe that God is answering your prayers now, by people out there, readers that follow your blog. Goodwill in my area has a career center that focuses on hard-to-place employees. They may be able to help you.

I will check it out. I’ve got a college degree so I’ve found lots of programs won’t take me.

I have a college degree and they took me. I imagine a program like this is geared to the community, so I don’t know what they might offer. Is there a university in your area? If they can’t help, they may know of someone who can. Be sure to actually speak with the career center.

I forgot, also check your community college they should have a program for displaced homemaker, or displaced wives… something to that affect. Hope this helps.

Look up on line or maybe you can ask at the unemployment office. I believe it is called Work Force. The unemployment office should have the information for you.
If not them I wouldn’t know, also maybe your public library might have the info. But definitely ask your unemployment office. Let me know how it works out for you.

Dede, do you have Vocational Rehabilitation in your city? They do training and help you find a job. I know because I’ve used them twice and they did help me with training and they send you on interviews after your training. Check it out. I will keep in touch with you to see how you are doing.
